Last year, I made a video for a social studies project called “Top 10 Worst Presidents.” Basically, the teacher gave a freeform assignment where you could make a song, powerpoint, poster, or whatever as long as you applied some of the knowledge you learned in class.
I knew right away I was going to make a video because that’s my thing. I wanted to take a comedic approach and the class was based around U.S. history so I thought why not take a shot at the 10 worst presidents in history.
I decided to use a simple setup. It would just be me sitting in front of the camera with still pictures and video for b-roll.
I wrote the script. I’ll be honest, I didn’t pay attention in the class too much, so I wasn’t able to come up with the presidents for the list based on my own knowledge. I mainly just looked at a bunch of historians’ lists and copied what they had to say and added some jokes. I put George Bush at #1 because he’s so easy to poke fun at and knew I would get some laughs.
The video went over well in class and then I put it on YouTube. That’s when the fun started. “Top 10 Worst Presidents” is my most successful online vid to date and I get comments on it daily. The comments get sent to my phone and they always give me a good laugh. People think I made the video list very legit and that I carefully thought everything through, when I honestly just picked people who were easy to make jokes about. I thought I would share the best comments I have gotten so far…
I get a lot of angry comments.

I would divide W’s presidency into two parts: the first four years, and the second four years. The first 4 were right up there. The second 4? Not so much. I would rate Obama lower, as never in our history has someone so brashly tried to make us into the post-Christian Socialist rot as he has. It doesn’t work there, and it won’t here. I was also a fan of Bush’s pro-life.
Obama has an attitude that can only be called pro-genocide (at an estimated 50,000,000 babies since 1973, that can only be described as genocide). I think it’s too early to call on W; same with Obama. W inherited bad stuff from his predecessors, and made many things worse! I shudder to think of Obama’s taking the curve too fast to further de-rail us! O, that we could once again have RESPONSIBLE people in Congress and the White House again!”

Maybe I should listen to the advice from Monkeyradar and MuskratandRatman next time, so I can have a better list.
